The dogs have always had furs for beds. I got them all from the Isle of Skye in Scotland, a brown and white double sheep fur pet mat that Hoss has slept on for years, a large white fur that Buster snuggles in to, and a little brown fur for Six. Skyeskins has AMAZING products.
The combination of the good Costco price, the big size, and the cute and simple design prompted me to get a new pup bed this week.
So, it started out in the living room between the couches. I had moved the armchair (what used to be there) to the master suite to make room for the Christmas tree, and it was still back there due to the fact that it’s a cozy reading spot and I have to remove the bedroom door to slide it back out.
Buster ALWAYS sleeps in his cave (between the dresser and chair on his fur) in my room. Six sleeps a few feet away (or on the couch when I forget to flip up the cushions, little snot) and Hoss always sleeps in the living room on the red jute rug (except when he gets scared by thunder). Since Hoss is the boss with Buster, he gets territorial of the living room while he sleeps and Buster avoids him at night.
Imagine my surprise when I woke up and couldn’t find Buster…
He braved the night with Hoss the guardian all for his (that wasn’t necessarily the plan, but just ask him) bed. I’ve now switched it with the armchair so he can sleep peacefully in his new, plush cave in the back. What a sweet little bed bug!
